Spring has sprung!

I'm back in the boat! March 16th was the first day I was able to launch on the river! With the crazy winter we have had I honestly thought I'd be waiting a couple more weeks. There is plenty of ice yet for ice fishing and walking conditions are improving daily. The last month has been a struggle getting around on the ice due to lots of snow, slush and cold temps.

River conditions good at this point. Normal levels and ice coming down river. 33 degree water temps. Fish biting very good in 12 to 24 feet on jig and plastic combos! We keep a few 15 to 17 inchers to eat once in a while but catch and release is the norm.

Tight lines and good fishing!
