First Ice!
The last trip out in the boat produced some nice Walleyes and Crappies. Not a lot of them, but still a lot of fun with my good friends Patrick and Rodd! Water temp was 38 degrees on this early November afternoon. Today on November 13th we had enough ice to walk a very small shallow body of water. Things are changing rapidly as our temperature right now is 5 degrees. Most bodies of still have a lot of open water. It's an exciting time of year as many are eager to get on the ice. Use extreme caution. No fish is worth losing a life over. I'm going to continue to fish open water with my boat as long as possible. Probably get on the ice in a few days. Good luck and be safe!
